Playback aTape
Y check list before you begin.
O All connections are made.
O TV and VCR are plugged in.
O TV is turned on and set to CH3, 4 or Video on TV.
O Remote is in VCR mode.
Insert a cassette.
¢ VCR power comes on and "VCR"
appears on Multi Function Display.
E Press PLAY. tits PLAY.
e Or, if cassette has no record tab
(see page 40), auto playback begins.
Mi To mm To Find a Partict a Particular Scene
EJECT Forward Search --> Press FF. (To release, press PLAY
or FF,
Revers Search --> Press REW. (To release, press PLAY
or REW.)
E For Still (Freeze) picture --> Press PAUSE/SLOW.
(To release, press PLAY.)
STOP W For Frame by Frame picture --> Press PAUSE/SLOW in
Still mode.
(To release, press PLAY.)
BB For Slow Motion --> Press and hold PAUSE/SLOW in Still
mode. (To release, press PLAY.)
M5 * These features work best in SP or SLP mode.
* The sound will be muted.
To reduce picture noise, see "Manual Tracking Control" on
page 41.
After the VCR is in Still or Slow mode for 3 minutes, it will
switch to Stop mode automatically to protect the tape and
the video head.
E To stop --> Press STOP.
W To rewind tape --> Press REW in Stop mode.
W To tast forward tape --> Press FF in Stop mode.
W To eject tape --> Press EJECT on the remote or
STOP/ EJECT on the VCR.
Playback using VCR controis
1 Insert a cassette.
<> 2 Press PLAY.
@ To prevent tape jam
Inspect your cassette tapes and
remove any loose or peeling labels.
Mi Press to stop and/ or eject tape.
