Initiating
voice contact

Press
(SP-PHONE)
while transmitting
or receiving
documents.
Display:
VOICE STANDBY
oYour
unit
will
call
the other party with
a
distinctive
ring.
When
the other party
answers, your
unit
will
emit a
distinc
tive ring.
Press
[SP-PHONE]
or
lift
the
handset
to start
talking.
o|f
you
initiate
voice contact during transmission,
you can
talk after
all
of
the
documents have been
transmitted.
o|f
you
initiate
voice contact during
reception,
you
can
talk after
the current
page
of
the
document
is
received.

Receiving a request
for
voice contact
If
the other party
initiates
voice
contact,
your
unit
will
emit
a
distinctive ring after
transmission
or reception
is
completed.
When
the
distinctive ring
is
heard, press
[SP-PHONE]
or
lift
the handset, then
start talking.
Note:
o|f
you
do
not
answer
within
10 seconds
of
the
distinctive
ring,
the
line
will
be
automatically disconnected.
