Hands-Free Digital Duplex Speakerphone
The digital duplex speakerphone enhances your Ene
conversation. For best performance, please note the following.
eUse the speakerphone in a quiet room.
eSpeak alternately with the caller.
elf the caller complains that your voice is hard to hear, press
VOLUME
to decrease the speaker volume.
elf the other party's voice from the speaker cuts in/out during a
conversation, press VOLUME
to decrease the speaker volume.
To put a call on hold
Press
[HOLD/RINGER

eThe DIGITAL SP-PHONE indicator flashes.
e After 6 minutes, a warning tone will sound every 10-15 seconds.
After a total of 10 minutes, the call will be disconnected.

To release the hold
From the base unit, press
(DIGITAL SP-PHONE).
From the handset, press
or lift the handset off the base unit.
eYou may also press
on the handset to release a hold at
the base unit.
elf another phone is connected on the same line (p. 48), you can also
release the hold by lifting its handset.
Adjusting the base unit ringer volume
The DIGITAL SP-PHONE indicator light must be off.
eTo select HIGH (preset) or LOW, press
briefly.
(Each time you press the button briefly, the selected volume rings and
the ringer volume will change.)
eTo turn the ringer OFF, press and hold
until 2 beeps
sound.

briefly. The ringer sounds
