Set the manual aperture indicator to AUTO
position

B. While looking through the finder, push the
battery checker button

If the batteries have ample power, the indi-
cator needle will point to the right side of
the ( ... ) mark

A power reserve below the
requ
ired level is indicated
if
the needle
points to the left side of the ( ... ) mark, in
which case, the batteries should be replaced
.

When the indicator does not move, it means
that the battery power has been exhausted
or that the batteries have been installed in
the wrong way. In such a case, reload the
batteries according to the polarity diagram.
• In extremely cold temperature, the battery
power indicator needle may sometimes point
to the left side of the ( ... ) mark even if a
set of fresh batteries has been installed. In
such a case, remove the battery case from
the
battery compartment and put it in your
pocket to warm the batteries before attempt-
ing to operate your camera
.
To prevent
damage due to leakage of chemicals, remove
the'
batteries from the battery case when the
camera is to be left unused over any great
length of time.
