5. Insert the 21mm or 28mm silicone flange insert as needed.
See Section 4 for the guidance on flange fit.
6. Ensure all connections are secure and tight to prevent loss
of suction.
7. To attach the pump hub to the pumping cup, insert the pour spout
of the breast flange into the notch at the bottom of the pump hub.
Make sure the pour spout is sealed, and press the pumping cup to
the hub.
Note: Once fully assembled, place the Wearable Pump in your bra and center your nipple before
turning on the pump.

4. Finding the Right Flange Fit

Using the right breast flange size and correct nipple alignment in the breast flange are
important for a safe and comfortable pumping experience to reduce potential nipple damage
and increase your milk expression.
Flange Fit
To find the right fit, measure the nipple – not the
areola. Choose the breast flange or the silicone flange
insert that is the next size larger than your nipple.
Hold the breast flange up to your chest, center
it on each of your nipples and see if the nipple
fits comfortably in the breast flange. If the nipple
touches the sides of the tunnel, you will want to try
the next size up, and if there is a lot of space around
the nipple, you will want to size down.
Signs you have found the right breast flange when:
•
Only your nipple and some of your areola enter
the tunnel during pumping.
•
Your nipple moves freely within the tunnel during pumping,
without rubbing.
•
Your breasts feel softer and lighter after pumping.
•
Your breastmilk supply improves or holds steady.
Nipple size and shape can change over time or even during
a pumping session. Each breast may require a different size.
Check your breast flange fit periodically to maximize comfort

Adding Silicone Flange Inserts
Each Lansinoh® Wearable Pump includes a 25mm
breast flange with a compatible 21mm silicone
flange insert as well as a 30.5mm breast flange
with a compatible 28mm silicone flange insert.
The breast flange may be used alone or with
the silicone flange inserts to find the right fit.
If your flange size is a 21mm, then insert the
21mm flange insert into the 25mm breast flange
until it is seated. If your flange size is a 28mm,
insert the 28mm flange insert into the 30.5mm
breast flange until it is seated. To remove the
silicone flange insert(s), lift the edge of the
insert and pull out gently from the breast flange.
