(©) LOUDNESS button**e
Press this button when the volume is low to raise the low
and high range levels so that the sound can be heard more
easily. This button operates in stereo mode only.
©) DYNAMIC RANGE CONTROL button
This equalizes the sound to let you hear subtle sounds even
when listening at low volume levels. You can only use this
function during DOLBY DIGITAL operation.

During Dolby Digital operation, remember that LFE channel
sound from the sub woofer is still output even if you connect

@) PROGRAM FORMAT display
When playing back in the Dolby Digital (AC-3) mode, the
indicator of the channels set for the playback source lights.
(2) SIGNAL SELECT indicators
The input signal format currently selected will light.
(@) DOLBY DIGITAL and PRO LOGIC indicators
"DOLBY" lights when the Dolby Surround mode is ON. There
are two Dolby Surround modes - Dolby Digital (AC-3) and
Dolby Pro Logic. "DOLBY" and "DIGITAL" light during Dolby
Digital, and "DOLBY" and "PRO LOGIC" light when played
back in Dolby Pro Logic.
@ HOME THX CINEMA mode indicators
Light when HOME THX CINEMA mode is selected.
() SYSTEM SET UP indicator
Lights when SYSTEM SET UP mode is selected.

Light when DSP MODE is selected.

Lights when INPUT ATT is ON.
@) LFE indicator
LFE}
lights when the LFE (Low Frequency Effects) channel
is set for the playback source with Dolby Digital. The LFE
indicator also lights when LFE signals are input.
(0 Speakers A, B, H.P indicators
The indicator of the speaker system (A, B) selected will light.
"H.P" lights when using a headphone.
When you use headphones, both SPEAKERS A and B will
switch OFF.
@ TAPE 2 indicator
Lights when TAPE 2 MONITOR
is ON.
@® CHARACTER display
43 OVERLOAD indicator
This lights when analog signal input level is excessive.
When it flashes, switch ATT ON using the remote control to
reduce the strength of the input signal.
