PHONE jack
The headphone jack allows use of a 8 to 16 ohm head-
phone through a 1/4" phone plug.
When phones are used the speaker is disconnected.
@ 8-pin MIC connector
When
using a microphone other than the one specified,
connect the ground of the microphone unit to pin @ and
the ground of the standby circuit to pin ®.

When this switch is pressed, the repeater
control tone burst signal (1,750 Hz) is emit-
ted for about 1 seconds at the beginning of
each transmission.
@ TONE: (For European version)
When this switch is pressed, the repeater
control
tone
signal (1,750
Hz) circuit
is
activated and the unit is set in the transmit
mode.
Indicates subtone frequency on the display.
Any one of 37 CH's (67 Hz - 250.3 Hz) can
be selected by the main dial.
By pressing
the switch again, the display returns to fre-
quency mode.
Used as a tone encoder when the optional
TU-5 is installed.
The
T indicator
