Troubleshooting
If the display is not showing an image as expected after installation, please consider the following steps to
resolve the issue.
Check that all cables are firmly secure in their ports, including the USB Micro-B power cables, HDMI
fly-leads and fibre optic cable.
For HDMI devices, it may be helpful to unplug and re-plug their HDMI connection to re-initiate the
HDMI handshake and recognition.
Power off all devices, then power each device back on in the following order: first the transmitter, then
the receiver, followed by the display or projector and finally the source device.
Check the output resolution and colour depth. If this is greater than the maximum supported resolution,
reduce the output resolution.
Check the length of the fibre optic cable used, if this is greater than 50m (164.04ft) for 8K transmission
or 300m (984.24ft) for 4K, please reduce this length.
Check the specs of the fibre optic cable used, if it's OM3 please try with an OM4 cable. Only multi-
mode LC cables are supported.
TX unit can be powered on directly from the HDMI source device connected, if the device doesn't
provide enough power please connect the USB power cable to a USB 5V power supply or any USB
powered port as well.
Please do not use HDMI cables longer than 3m to connect the source to TX unit and the display to RX
unit.
The enclosed HDMI Male to Female 0.15m are recommended to connect both units to source and
display, to avoid breaking the dongle connector if accidentally bumped or to place it in a more
accessible and cooled area.
