REMOTE CONTROL UNIT OPERATION
In addition to the present unit, the remote control unit can also
be used to operate other Pioneer components (TV, VCR, VDP
or CD) bearing the &] mark.
SLEEP key
Press to enable the sleep timer function. Each time you press
the key, the timer function becomes 60 minutes, 30 minutes,
or OFF, in that sequence.
When the SLEEP display is fully lit, this means 60 minutes,
when it is half lit, this means 30 minutes, and when it is out,
this means OFF.

VDP ... Sets the TV set function to VDP.
TV ... Sets the TV set function to TV.
— ... Reduces the TV set's sound volume.
+ ,.. Increases the TV set's sound volume.
PHONO keys
> (PLAY)... To begin record playback.
@ (STOP)... To stop record playback.
[ SURROUND MODE key sd
[When controlling the VSX-5000]
Selects the surround mode. Each time the key is pressed, the
function is switched in the following order:
. STUDIO --STADIUM~ DOLBY SURROUND — OFF :

Selects the SURROUND
mode.
Each time the key is
pressed, the function is switched in the following order:

VCR power key
Use to turn power ON/OFF to a VCR.
A/V selector switch
TV power key
Use to turn power ON/OFF to a TV.
VIDEO SELECTOR key
SURROUND VOLUME key
(functions only with the VSX-5000)
BALANCE key
MASTER VOLUME key
TUNER CH key
(When the A/V selector is A')
The station which is memorized
in the STATION CALL switch
will be received.
+:By pressing this switch, the
channel number of the STA-
