Maintenance
Do a check of the muffler and
the spark arrestor screen.
Sharpen or replace the blades.
To replace the blades
Refer to

Replace the fuel filter.
Do a check of the throttle cable.
Do a check of the front wheels.
Do a check of the belts and the
belt pulleys.
Disassemble and examine the
starter.
Do a check of the cutting deck
for adjustment. Refer to
just the parallelism of the cut-
ting deck on page 21 .
Do a check of the engine oil
To replace the
level. Refer to
engine oil on page 23 .
Clean the air intake of the en-

gine.
Do a check of the cleanout cov-
er on the engine.
Replace the engine oil and oil
filter.
Remove debris from the cylin-
der and the cooling fins on the

cylinder head. ,
Do a check of and clean the
cooling fins on the oil cooler.
Do a check of and clean the
spark plugs.
Replace the air cleaner primary

element.
Do a check of the air cleaner

secondary element.
