4A.8 HOOK UP FOR VEHICLE WITH FLAT TIRE(S) (cont'd)
MAKE CERTAIN THE PARKING BRAKE IS ENGAGED AND THE
TRANSMISSION IS IN GEAR (PARK) ON THE VEHICLE TO BE
TOWED BEFORE THE WHEEL LIFT CROSSBAR IS ENGAGED.
(e) If only one tire is flat, secure the inflated tire in normal fashion.
(f) Extend the wheel lift boom as far as possible against the flat
tire. This should allow the crosstube to compress the tire
completely. See Figure 4A.22.
(g) Install tire restraint on flat tire. See Figure 4A.23.
