GETTING STARTED
The purpose of this guide is to quickly get the machine ready for pulling opera on. It
designed to replace the Operator's manual. Please take me to review operator's manual
informa on before preforming any opera ons with this unit.
Control panel is located in the right rear area of the unit behind a hinged hood panel.
1) HMI
2) USB Port
3) Printer Port
4) Key Switch
5) E‐Stop
STEP 1 ‐ Turn the machine on
Turn on the ba ery switch located near the boom arm. Insert key on control panel and turn
unit on, it will take a few moments for the machine to boot up.

  • Page 2 STEP 1 ‐ Con nued Once the loading process is finished a check mark will appear in the lower right corner of the screen press the lower right bu on to con nue. The next screen shown will only appear if scheduled maintenance is due NOTE: If this screen appears, one of the maintenance mers has been tripped and the unit is due for scheduled maintenance.
  • Page 3 STEP 3 ‐ Posi on and anchor unit Place unit the appropriate distance from the manhole and/or vault for the boom to be extended if used. When pulling directly from the unit without the boom, the rope must not exceed the angles on the warning label. Once you have the machine posi oned, the rear stabilizers need to be deployed and the anchor points need to be secured.
  • Page 4   STEP 4 ‐ The remote and linking the remote Now you are ready to ac vate the radio control transmi er, the indicator circled in the image to the right indicates the radio is currently not connected. To connect follow the procedure below: Turn on remote by rota ng the switch shown to the right clockwise.
  • Page 5 STEP 4 ‐ The remote and linking the remote (con nued) A er a few seconds the display on the remote will look similar to the picture to the right. Verify you have a charged ba ery (lower le ba ery indicator) the green light in the lower le corner will be blinking rapidly at this point.
  • Page 6 STEP 5 ‐ Pay out the rope and connec ng to the conductor PAYING OUT THE ROPE With machine in posi on and properly anchored you can ease the joys ck forward on the remote to payout the rope from the reel towards the conductors to be pulled. There must be pressure against the rope when paying out to avoid slippage on the bull wheels.
