Cassette care
• Avoid touching the tape surface of a cassette, as any dirt or dust
will contaminate the heads.
• The use of a 120-minute cassette tape is not recommended.
Frequent switching of the tape operation mode can result in the
tape becoming entangled because this very thin tape can easily be
stretched.
• Keep cassettes away from equipment with magnets, such as spea¬
kers and amplifiers, because their magnets could cause erasures or
distortions of your recorded tapes.
• Protect cassettes from dust by storing them in their cases. Even
minor dirt or dust could contaminate the heads, resulting in noise
and sound drop-outs.
• Do not expose cassettes to direct sunlight, extremely cold temper¬
ature or moisture.
