Operation - Pro-Lift PL5500 Operating Instructions & Parts Manual

ASSEMBLY
1. Attach Hydraulic Unit to receiver platform using (2)
M8 x 1.25 Socket Head Cap Screws.
2. Insert the Bottle Jack Ram Pin to connect the Bottle
Jack to the cross head (If holes do not line up, twist
the Bottle Jack Ram until they are aligned).
3. Install Lift Pedal into Bottle Jack Pedal Sleeve and
secure with the Phillips Head Screw.
4. Insert Release Knob through Release Knob Guide
and attach to Hydraulic Unit with screw and nut
provided.
5. Install Wheel Baskets into the Front Tube and secure
using provided M10 Hex Head Bolt and Nut. Repeat
for other side.
6. After assembly, ensure lift rolls freely, lifts, locks and
lowers easily, and that Bottle Jack operates smoothly
before putting into service. Familiarize yourself with
operation of Height Locking Lever and Lift Pedal.

OPERATION

1. To familiarize yourself with basic operation, turn the
Release Knob:
a. Clockwise until firm resistance is felt to further
turning. This is the 'CLOSED' release valve
position used to raise the ram plunger.
b. Counter-clockwise, but no more than 1 turn from
the closed position. This is the 'OPEN' release
valve position used to lower the ram plunger.
WARNING: Exercise caution when adjusting

the Release Knob - raise and lower load slowly
and carefully.
2. Locate and pump the Lift Pedal until the Wheel
Baskets begin to rise, monitoring mower and lift
closely.

3. Continue pumping until load has reached desired
height.
4. Engage height locking mechanism fully before
working on or around the loaded lift.
5. Turn the Release Knob counterclockwise until lift
lowers enough for Height Locking Levers to fully
engage holes in Base Frame.
WARNING: Clear all tools and personnel

before lowering load.
6. To lower lift, raise Lift Platform slightly to disengage
Height Locking Levers (use locking lever clip to hold
in the raised position), then use the release knob
to carefully turn release valve counterclockwise,
lowering the load slowly.
