Problem

Probable Cause
Plug is not inserted or
the appliance is not
switched on.
There's no power in the
socket.
Power cord is damaged.
Dust bag is full.
Filter is dirty.
Nozzle, telescopic tube
or vacuum hose are
clogged.
The power setting does
not suit the flooring.
The attached nozzle
does not fit the flooring.
The carpet/hard floor
switch is in the wrong
position for the particular
type of floor.
Sucked-in particles clog-
ging in the air path.
Remedy
Insert the plug into a
mains socket and switch
on the appliance.
Test the appliance at an-
other socket which you
are sure carries current.
Have the power cord re-
placed by Fakir Custom-
er Services.
Replace the dust bag.
Clean or replace the
corresponding
filter.
Eliminate clogging. If
necessary, use a wooden
stick (e.g. a broomstick)
with a proper length to
do this.
Set the power to the
setting suggested for the
flooring.
Attach the correct noz-
zle.
Set the carpet/hard floor
switch to the correct po-
sition for the type of floor.
Remove particles. If nec-
