Text is information that is presented using from one half to full television
screen. It is usually not related to the program.
For example, it could be a listing of the closed-captioned programs,
news, weather information or stock market reports.

Select the desired program.

Press RECALL to check if the program
includes text information. If it is, the
word "TEXT" is displayed on the screen.
Press C.CAPT on the Remote Control to
call up the CLOSED CAPTION menu.
Usable selecti6-_e are displayed in
yellow.

Press C.CAPT repeatedly until "T1 ",
"T2", "T3" or "T4"' is displayed in
magenta.
('TI" stands for TEXT 1, for example.)

F:ress OPTION on the Remote Control (or
MENU on the TV) to display the Option
menu.
Press OPTION repeatedly (or ADV on the
TV) until "C.CAPT" is displayed in
magenta.

To deactivate this feature
Selec;[ "OFF" in the CLOSBD CAPTION 1-node display.
N_te: If you Select*a closed-captioned channel and the "TEXT" mode,
the text screen a|ways appears.
However, text characters are not displayed when no signal is
aired.
