INTENDED PURPOSE
The MEDISAFE
Fall Mat Premium is the ideal choice as part
®
of a comprehensive fall prevention program for providing a
safe environment for patients at high risk of falling out of bed.
High quality foam inner core construction provides maximum
absorption and rebound to reduce impact in the event of a fall.
The mat's tapered, beveled edges allow equipment to roll over
with ease and its non-slip bottom keeps the mat secure to
help prevent accidental tripping. The embossed non-slip sur-
face is not only attractive but extremely durable and puncture-
resistant. Non-slip pattern helps minimize slipping. When used
as a component of a comprehensive fall prevention program,
the MEDISAFE
Fall Mat Premium reduces the impact of a
®
fall from bed to help minimize injury. The Joint Commission's
Patient Safety Goals regulations and the Centers for Medicare
and Medicaid Services guidelines have created increased ur-
gency for the prevention of resident falls. The patient or resi-
dent room is an area where falls frequently occur, particu-
larly when getting into or out of bed. In addition to low height
beds that have been found to help reduce the incidence of
falls; impact reduction MEDISAFE
alongside the bed have become a cost effective means to help

and there is no risk of caregivers tripping over the mat.

is facing upwards and the non-slip underside is resting on the
floor.
