The marking

top indicates
the
position
of
the film
plane. It is
used
in
close ·up photography
for
measuring
an
exact distance from
camera to subject.

The subject should be focused as for
normal photography

tween the
camera
and
the

should then be noted from the focusing
ring and the ring rotated so that this
distance
is brought to the red dot
