BEFORE YOU BEGIN
The batteries included in your flashlight are for in-store demonstration.
It is recommended that, prior to playing, fresh alkaline batteries be installed for best performance.
Ask an Adult to install batteries in your flashlight. Here's how:

- Using a Phillips screwdriver (not included) remove the screw and battery compartment cover from the bottom of the flashlight.
- Install two (2) AA alkaline batteries (not included) making sure the (+) and (-) ends face the proper direction as indicated inside the battery compartment.
- Replace the compartment cover and tighten the screw.
Changing the Bulb
If the bulb burns out, an Adult must replace it. Here's how:

- Remove the flashlight batteries.
- Squeeze the flashlight handle to open the mouth.
- Using a Phillips screwdriver (not included), remove the two screws.
- Pull out the lens cover and lens.
- Remove the reflector.
- Remove the bulb and replace it with a 2.5V, 0.2A bulb.
- Replace the reflector, lens and cover.
- Replace and tighten the screws.
- Reinstall the batteries.
QUICK START
Travel the world with you favorite animal lighting the way!
- Squeeze the handle and the animal's mouth will open, the light will light and you'll hear an appropriate animal sound.
- Release the handle and the light will go out and the mouth will close.
NOTE: If the flashlight is left on for a time, the automatic shut-off feature will turn it off to save battery power.
SAFE BATTERY USAGE
- Use alkaline batteries for best performance and longer life.
- Use only the type battery recommended for the unit.
- Batteries should be replaced only by an adult.
- Insert batteries with the correct polarity ( + and – ).
- Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
- Do not short-circuit batteries.
- When not used for an extended time, remove batteries to prevent possible leakage and damage to the unit.
- Do not mix rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries.
- Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before charging.
- Rechargeable batteries are to be recharged only under adult supervision.
- Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
- Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy.
- Do not dispose of batteries in fire as they may leak or explode.
NOTE: The voltage of a fully-charged, rechargeable battery is often lower than that of a fresh alkaline battery. Therefore, it is recommended that alkaline batteries be used instead of rechargeable batteries for best performance and for longest play time.
