The Serta chair with part number 2080-8693-86 may not be working due to several possible reasons:

1. Power Cord Issue: The power cord may not be connected properly, or it may have been removed and not reattached.

2. Control Button Misuse: The control buttons for reclining, headrest, or cup holder light may not have been pressed correctly.

3. Power Tools Damage: If power tools were used during assembly, they may have damaged the hardware.

4. Electrical Interference: Interference from other devices may affect the chair’s functions.

5. Safety Reset Not Used: The reset button may need to be long-pressed to return the chair to its original position.

6. Indoor Use Only: If used outdoors or exposed to heat or direct sunlight, it may have been damaged.

Checking these issues can help identify why the chair is not functioning.

If resetting the Serta mattress model 2080-8693-86 did not help, try the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Check Power Connection: Ensure the power cord is securely connected to both the mattress base and the wall outlet.

2. Inspect for Interference: If the mattress has electronic components, ensure there is no radio frequency interference. Try:
- Reorienting or relocating nearby antennas.
- Increasing the distance between the mattress and other electronic devices.
- Using a different electrical outlet on a separate circuit.

3. Contact Support: If the issue persists, contact True Innovations Customer Service. Be ready to provide the model number, purchase order number, date of purchase, store of purchase, and original sales receipt.

There are no further specific troubleshooting steps provided beyond these general guidelines.
