Heats up but produces no steam. The safety come off but never tightens up when put it back on. It just spins. First time use.

If the Bissell STEAM SHOT 2994 Series heats up but produces no steam and the safety cap does not tighten, follow these steps:

1. Turn off and unplug the unit.
2. Wait at least 5 minutes for the unit to cool.
