SETUP INSTALL Install the included rubber antenna onto the radio. CAUTION: Make sure the SWR is less than 2:1 before using the radio. An SWR higher than 2:1 can damage the transmitter. Close battery cover. Charge the Radio NiMH rechargeable batteries are not fully charged when first installed in the radio. After installing the rechargeable NiMH batteries for the first time, place the radio in the charge adapter. Let it charge for about 12 hours or until the LED on the charge adapter turns green.
