PARKING AND STOPPING ON A SLOPE

CAUTION: Parking and stopping on a slope is
extremely dangerous. If parking or stopping on a
slope is unavoidable, follow these precautions.
1. If the engine stalls on a slope, lower the blade, place
all levers in the neutral position, and then restart the
engine.
2. When stopping on a slope even for a short time, be
sure to lower both the bucket and the blade to the
ground and to place all levers in the neutral position.
Also, put blocks at the downhill end of the tracks.
3. Before attempting to travel up a slope, be sure that
the engine and hydraulic oil are properly warmed up.
Otherwise the sluggish motion of the machine on a
steep hill could lead to trouble.

PARKING THE MACHINE

1. Park the machine on a level, solid surface. Position
the arm vertically and lower the bucket and blade to

move the key from the switch.

position.
4. Close the window and cab door, if a cab is provided.
Be sure to lock the cab door with a key.
