OPERATION

•
Always remove the jug from the power base before filling it or before any operation.
•
Open the lid by turning it towards "OPEN" and remove it to fill the jug with fresh water,
paying attention not to fill above the maximum mark in the kettle. It is absolutely
necessary to respect this safety measure.
•
Put the lid back in place and turn it towards "LOCK" to close it correctly.
•
Put the jug onto the power base, plug into the wall socket and press the switch. The pilot
light will come on, indicating that the appliance is operating. If it does not come on, check
if the kettle is correctly positioned on the base and check if the base is plugged in.
•
The jug kettle will switch off automatically when the water is boiling. However, you can stop
the appliance any time by pressing the switch.
•
For instant reboiling, wait until the water has cooled down and press the switch again.
•
To pour the water it is not necessary to unscrew the lid, you just have to press the lever
protruding from the lid.
•
This thermos flask electric kettle allows you to keep the water warm for about 2 hours at
80°C and 4 hours at 68°C.
SAFETY CUT-OUT
•
This jug kettle is protected with an automatic safety device which switches the appliance
off when it is accidentally switched on without water. Please bear in mind that only the
thermostat is switched off in case of overheat, whereas the switch stays in ON-position.
•
In this case, unplug the appliance and wait about 10 minutes for the element to cool.
Then pour in sufficient cold water to cover the element.
•
The kettle may then be used as normal.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

•
Before attempting any cleaning operation, make sure the appliance is unplugged from
the supply socket and fully cooled down.
•
To clean the exterior surfaces, simply wipe over with a soft damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
To remove scale from the inner walls of the kettle you can use a soft brush.
•
Never use abrasive products.
•
On no account must the jug kettle or its power base be immersed in water.
DESCALING
To remove scale from the jug kettle, use products made especially available for this purpose.
Make sure to use a type recommended for plastic kettles.

waste recovery by means of reuse, recycling or use for other applications in accordance with
the directive.
