    The BloodTrack Courier software running on the BloodTrack Kiosk V5 is used for controlling access to blood products at managed storage locations. The BloodTrack Kiosk V5 is equipped with a touch-screen display/monitor and a barcode scanner so that a keyboard and mouse are unnecessary.

The BloodTrack Courier software running on the BloodTrack Kiosk V5 is used to monitor the storage of blood products inside the storage location and can help avoid incorrect blood products being removed, but ultimately does not prevent the wrong type of blood products being given to patients.

    Operating the BloodTrack Kiosk V5 The BloodTrack Kiosk V5 is set to automatically start when mains power is applied. It will automatically load the BloodTrack Courier Solution, ready for use. Use of the BloodTrack Kiosk V5 varies from site-to-site and department location; however, a maximum frequency of use will be approximately once every 60-90 seconds, but can be as low as once a week.

    Use only Haemonetics-approved peripherals, cabling and connections when installing the BloodTrack Kiosk V5. The cabling can be run with the BloodTrack Kiosk V5, locks and UPS mounted in the final position for the end-users. The supplied shielded CAT5e network patch lead is connected from the BloodTrack Kiosk V5 to the network data point provided by the hospital.

    BloodTrack Kiosk V5 is to disconnect the IEC C13 cordset from the C14 inlet on the chassis. The UPS may still provide mains power to the BloodTrack Kiosk V5 if mains power input to the UPS itself is disconnected.

The switch is recessed to prevent accidentally triggering the emergency access to the storage location and requires use of a tool to be activated, such as a pencil, pen or stylus.
