  • Page 14 Open the cover with the back of the phone facing you. Press the locking catch (1) in the direction of the arrow and slide the cover (2). Remove the battery Camera lens and find the SIM card slot (3). Place the SIM card carefully into the slot.
  • Page 15 General information Charge the battery Connect the lead to the charger. You will hear it click into place. Connect the charger to an AC wall outlet. Connect the lead from the charger to the base of the phone (6). The battery indicator bar starts scrolling.
  • Page 16 Antenna Your phone has a built-in antenna (gray area in picture). As with any other radio transmitting device, do not touch the antenna unnecessarily when the phone is switched on. Contact with the antenna affects call quality and may cause the phone to operate at a higher power level than otherwise needed.

    3 Your phone • MAKE A CALL In standby mode, key in the phone number, including the area code. Press to move the cursor. Press to remove a number. For international calls, press twice for the international prefix (the + character replaces the international access code) and then key in the country code, the area code without 0, and the phone number.
  • Page 29 Your phone Call your voice mailbox The voice mailbox (system service) is an answering machine where callers who are unable to reach you can leave you voice messages. • To call your voice mailbox, press in standby mode. • If the phone asks for the voice mailbox number, key it in and press OK.
