FUSE
Beforeservicing,repairing,or inspecting, alwaysdisengagePTO
(BladeEngageknob), set parkingbrake,stop engineand remove
to preventunintendedstarting.
A fuse isinstalled in yourtractor'swiringharnessto protectthe trac-
tor'selectricalsystemfrom damagecausedbyexcessiveamperage.
If the electricalsystemdoesnot function,or yourtractor'senginewill
notcrank,first checkto be certain that the fuse hasnot blown.It is
locatedunderthe hood,mountedbehindthe top of the dashpanel on
the supportbar.
Alwaysusea replacementfuse with the sameamperagecapacity as
the blownfuse.
TIRES
Neverexceedthe maximuminflationpressureshownon the sidewall
of thetire.
Referto the tire sidewallfor exacttire manufacturer's recommended or
maximumpsi. Donot overinfiate. U neventire pressurecouldcause the
cuttingdeck to mowunevenly.
MAINTENANCE
Beforeperformingany maintenance or repairs,disengagePTO,set
parkingbrake,stop engineand removekeyto preventunintended
starting.
CLEANING
THE TRACTOR
Anyfuel or oil spilledon the machineshouldbe wipedoff promptly.Do
NOTallowdebristo accumulatearoundthe coolingfins of the engine,
thetransmission'scoolingfan or on any otherpartof the machine,
especiallythe beltsand pulleys.
Deck Wash
System
Yourtractor'sdeck is equippedwith a water port on itssurfaceas part
of itsdeck wash system.
Use thedeck wash systemto rinsegrass clippingsfrom the deck's
undersideand preventthe buildupof corrosivechemicals.Complete
thefollowingstepsAFTEREACHMOWING:
1.
Drivethe tractorto a level,clearspot on your lawn,near enough
for yourgardenhoseto reach.

Attachthe hosecouplerto thewater porton yourdeck'ssurface.

Turnthe wateron.
Whilesittingin the operator'spositionon the tractor,start the
engineand placethe throttleleverin the FAST(rabbit)position.

Movethetractor'sPTO(Blade Engage)intothe ON position.
8.
Remainin theoperator'spositionwith the cuttingdeck engaged
for a minimumof two minutes,allowingthe undersideof the
cuttingdeck to thoroughlyrinse.
9.
Movethetractor'sPTO(Blade Engage)intothe OFF position.
10. Turnthe ignition key to the STOPpositionto turn the tractor's
engineoff.
11. Turnthe wateroff and detach the hosecouplerfrom thewater
port on yourdeck'ssurface.
12. Repeatsteps4 through11on the oppositesideof the cutting
deck.
After cleaningyourdeck with the deck washsystem,returnto the
operator'spositionand engagethe PTO.Keepthe cuttingdeck
runningfor a minimumof two minutes,allowingthe undersideof the
cuttingdeck to thoroughlydry.
LUBRICATION
Beforelubricating,repairing,or inspecting,alwaysdisengagePTO,
set parkingbrake,stopengine and removekey to preventunintended
starting.
Makecertainthe tractor'sdischargechute isdirectedAWAYfrom youl
house,garage,parkedcars,etc.
2.
Disengagethe PTO(Blade Engage),set the parkingbrakeand
stop theengine.
3.
Threadthe hosecoupler(packagedwith yourtractor'sOperator's
Manual)ontothe end of your gardenhose.
