IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

The safety of electrical appliances from FIRST
Austria complies with the recognized technical
directives and legal regulations for safety.
Nevertheless, you and the other users of the
appliance should observe the following:
• Please read these instructions carefully before
using this appliance for the first time and keep
them for further reference.
• This product has not been designed for any other
uses than those specified in this manual.
• Before connecting the appliance to the power
source, check if the voltage indicated on the
appliance corresponds with the mains voltage
in your home. If this is not the case, contact your
dealer and do not use the appliance.
• No open flame sources, such as lighted candles,
should be placed on or near the unit.
• Do not leave the unit in a place near a heat source
such as a radiator or air duct, or in a location
exposed to direct sunlight, excessive dust,
mechanical vibration, or shock.
• The appliance must not be exposed to dripping
or splashing water. Do not place any water
containers (such as vases) next to or on top of the
appliance.
• To protect from electrical hazard, do not immerse
this appliance or cordset in any liquids.
• If the appliance or the power cord shows any
signs of damage, do not operate it! Take the
product to an authorized and qualified service
center for inspection or repair.
• The ventilation openings must be kept free.
• Be sure to observe the correct polarity when
installing the battery.
• Batteries may explode if handled incorrectly. Do
not recharge, disassemble or dispose of it in fire.
• Do not expose batteries to excessive heat such as
direct sunlight, fire or the like.
• Dispose of used batteries promptly and in
accordance with local environmental laws and
guidelines. Keep away from children. Should
the battery be swallowed, consult a doctor
immediately.
• We are excluded of liability for all damages that
may arise if the appliance is used for purposes
other than originally intended or if it is used
inappropriately.
• Repairs and other work undertaken on the unit
must only be done by authorised specialist
personnel!

PREPARATION BEFORE USE
1. Open the battery compartment cover at the
bottom of the product, insert 2x AA batteries into
the battery slot and close the battery cover again.
2. Connect the DC adapter to the micro-USB (15)
socket. When the DC adapter is connected, the
light cycles once through all available colors.
Note: Without the DC adapter connected, only
the basic function of the alarm clock (buzzer) is
available!
OPERATION
SETTING TIME & DATE
Press and hold the "clock set" button (2) for
3 seconds, to enter the clock setting mode. You can
adjust the following flashing values on the display
step by step using the [+]/[-] buttons and confirm
by pressing the "clock set" button again.
• 12 Hr/24 Hr
• Hour
• Minute
• Sequence of the date display (Day, Month /
Month, Day)
• Year
• Month
• Day

SETTING THE ALARM
The alarm clock features an acoustic alarm and a
wake-up light. 30 minutes before the set alarm time,
the light gradually becomes brighter, up to the set
maximum value, to simulate a sunrise.
With the two switches (13) and (14) on the back of
the unit, you can switch the alarm on/off and set
the preferred alarm sound.
To set the alarm, press and hold the "alarm set"
button (3) for 3 seconds until the alarm time starts
flashing. You can adjust the following flashing
values on the display step by step using the [+]/
[-] buttons and confirm by pressing the "alarm set"
button again.
• Hour

• Sound Number (1-6)
[This setting appears only when the alarm sound
selector is set to Soundscapes]
• Alarm sound maximum volume (L00-L18)
[This setting appears only when the alarm sound
selector is set to Soundscapes or FM radio]
• Ambient light (1 = white light, 2 = colored light)
• Light color (C1=Red, C2=Orange, C3=Yellow,
C4=Green, C5=Cyan, C6=Blue, C7=Purple,
C8=Color shift)
[This setting appears only if "colored light" was
selected in the previous step]
• Ambient light brightness (L00-L18 for white light,
L00-L05 for colored light)
[Select the maximum brightness of the ambient
light. If L00 is selected, the light will stay off ]
ALARM STOP AND SNOOZE FUNCTION
When the alarm rings, the volume slowly increases
to the set maximum. Press the "Snooze" button (4)
to activate snooze mode. The acoustic alarm stops
and will restart 8 minutes later. To stop the alarm for
that day, press any other button of the top controls.
Note: The alarm sounds for a maximum of
30 minutes in radio and soundscapes mode
or 2 minutes in buzzer mode if not turned off
manually. After this period, the alarm automatically
ends for that day.
FM RADIO
To turn the radio on/off, press the "FM radio" key
(10).
Hold the "FM radio" key for 3 seconds to start
the automatic station search. The unit scans the
frequency range 87.5-108 MHz and saves all found
stations as program number (P01, P02, P03, ...).
After the automatic station search is complete,
you can use the [◄]/[►] keys to cycle through all
program numbers.
To increase or decrease the playback volume of the
radio, use the volume up/down keys (11/9).
AMBIENT LIGHT
Press the "Snooze/Light" button (4) to turn on the
ambient light. Select between white light, colored
light and off by pressing the button repeatedly.
You can adjust the brightness of the light by
pressing the [+]/[-] buttons.
When the colored light is selected, you can
change its color by pressing the "display backlight"
button (7).
Following color settings are available: C1=Red,
C2=Orange, C3=Yellow, C4=Green, C5=Cyan,
C6=Blue, C7=Purple, C8=Color shift
SLEEP TIMER
While the radio or ambient light is on, you can
activate the sleep timer function by pressing the
"sleep timer" button (1). You can choose between
15, 30, 45, 60 minutes and OFF by pressing the
button repeatedly. To confirm the selected time,
simply wait 8 seconds without pressing any button.
The radio and light turn off automatically after the
set time has elapsed. When the sleep timer is active,
a sleep icon flashes in the top right corner of the
display.
DISPLAY BACKLIGHT ADJUSTMENT
Press the "display backlight" button (7) to switch
between 4 brightness levels of the display
backlight.
Note: When the unit is operated without DC
adapter, the display backlight appears only for
8 seconds after the "snooze/light" button (4) is
pressed.
