The MS18 is a durable piece of equipment, with proper care it will last for many years. This owner's handbook outlines the installation, operation, and maintenance requirements to sustain perfect product performance.
The MS18 features a Primary Filter with Activated Carbon and H11 High-Efficiency Particulate Air Filter (HEPA), capturing>99.97% of particles with a diameter greater than or equal to 0.3 microns.
The MS18 can filter out impurities and particles in the air; such as viruses, mold, dust, allergens, pollen, bacteria, dust mites, cigarette smoke, pet dander, off-odors and unhealthy vapors.
Membrane Solutions® products are designed with safety in mind. However, personnel using this device must be familiar with any potential dangers. All safety information detailed in this handbook should be reviewed before installing and operating this air purifier.

The above performance index data is obtained in a third-party laboratory according to the international ANSI/AHAM AC-1-2006, with specific smoke particles or gaseous pollutants as the target pollutants.
Your Membrane Solutions® MS18 Air purifier was carefully assembled, packaged, and shipped complete with all the parts you should require.
Step 1
Before using the air purifier for the first time, open the rear cover and remove the composite filter. Make sure to remove any packaging from the filter element, or the product will not function correctly.
Step 2
Plug the air purifier power plug into an electrical outlet
The purifier should now be in standby mode
Step 3
Push the power button once to turn the air purifier on
The purifier should now be in operating mode
Power Button
Press the Power button to put air purifier into operating mode.
Press the power button a second time to stop the air purifier and place it into standby mode.
Fan Speed
Press Fan button repeatedly to cycle through the different speed settings.
1/Sleep – Low speed
2 – Medium speed
3 – High Speed
The corresponding fan speed indicator light will display the current fan speed.
Sleep mode
Press the sleep button to put the unit into Sleep Mode. In this mode the fan is at its lowest/quietest setting. Also, only the Sleep and Power buttons are illuminated to help keep the room dark.
Timer
Press the timer button after power-on to set the timed auto-off feature. Repeatedly press the timer button to cycle through the preset auto-off times of 2, 4 or 8 hours, the corresponding indicator light will display the selected auto-off time setting.
Night Light
Press the night light button to turn on the night light.
Press the night light button a second time to turn off the night light.
Filter Reset
When the total run hours of the air purifier reaches 1000 hours, the indicator will light up to replace the filter. After the replacement is completed, press and hold the filter reset button for 3 seconds until the indicator light is off, the filter timer function is now reset.
Actual lifespan of the filter may vary depending on the amount of dust, smoke, humidity, and the concentration of other airborne particles and vapors in the air.
Step 1
Press the power button to turn the air purifier off, unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.
Remove the rear cover of the air purifier and remove the exhausted composite filter element.
Step 2
Clean out any remaining dust, dirt, or lint inside the purifier using a vacuum hose or dry cloth.
DO NOT use water or liquids to clean the purifier.
Step 3
Remove any packing from the new filter element and take notice of the inward and outward sides of the filter element.
Refer to the new filter instructions for the direction of airflow.
Step 4
Place the new filter into the air purifier making sure it is facing the correct direction. airflow travels from outside to the center of the unit. Reinstall the rear cover
After replacing the filter, plug the power cord back into an electrical outlet, then hold down the filter button for 3 seconds to reset the filter timer, the indicator light will go out showing the reset was successful.
