Tachometer
The tachometer shows the engine
speed, as measured by the rotational
velocity of the crankshaft, in revolu-
tions per minute (r/min).
NOTICE
Do not operate the engine in the ta-
chometer red zone.
Red zone: 10000 r/min and above
Fuel meter
The fuel meter indicates the amount of
fuel in the fuel tank. The display seg-
ments of the meter disappear from "F"
(full) towards "E" (empty) as the fuel
level decreases.
When the last segment starts flashing,
refuel as soon as possible.
TIP
If all the fuel meter display segments
flash repeatedly, have a Yamaha deal-
er inspect the vehicle.
Coolant temperature meter
The coolant temperature meter indi-
cates the radiator coolant temperature.
When the coolant is too hot, the top
segment will flash.
TIP
If all the coolant temperature meter
display segments flash repeatedly,
ECA10032
have a Yamaha dealer inspect the ve-
hicle.
Clock "
"
The clock uses a 12-hour time system.
TIP
The clock can be adjusted in the menu
system. (See page 5-16.)
Transmission gear display
This shows which gear the transmis-
sion is in. This model has 6 gears and a
neutral position. The neutral position is
indicated by "
".
TIP
If a malfunction occurs, "-" will be
shown.
Instrument and control functions
"ECO" indicator icon
This icon is shown when the vehicle is
being operated in an environmentally
friendly, fuel-efficient manner. The icon
is not shown when idling.
TIP
Consider the following tips to reduce
fuel consumption:
 Avoid high engine speeds during

Air temperature display
The air temperature is displayed from –
9 °C (16 °F) to 50 °C (122 °F) in 1 °C (1
°F) increments. The temperature dis-
played may vary from the actual ambi-
ent temperature.

temperature is higher or lower than the
display range.
