2. Safety information 2.1. Dangers for children and people with reduced ability to operate devices This device may be used by children over the age of 8 and by persons with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities or by those without experience and knowledge, if they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the device and have understood the dangers that result from it.

Do not stick a protective film or any other stickers on the discs, because the adhesive can damage the surface of the disc and corrupt data. Inspect discs carefully before inserting them. If damage or dirt is apparent, you may not use this disc.

If it is not possible to position the monitor as described, the following measures may be helpful: • swivel, lower or tilt the monitor • slats or vertical net curtains on the windows • partition walls or changes to the lighting equipment. Take regular breaks when working at your monitor and perform relevant stretching exercises to avoid tension and fatigue.
• Head – your head should be upright or bent slightly forward. Do not work with your head or upper body twisted. During work, the top edge of the monitor should be at or slightly below eye level. The size of the distance between the monitor and the viewer depends on individual requirements.
• When you disconnect a cable from your device, pull it out by holding the plug and not the cable. • Do not exchange the supplied cable for another one. Use only the supplied cable as this cable has been extensively tested in our laboratory. •...
4.4. Connecting USB devices* Do not connect your USB devices until you have finished the initial setup of your new PC. This will prevent any unnecessary interference during the installation. These devices can generally be connected while the PC is running. Please refer to the operating instructions for your peripheral device.
4.5.1. Connecting the headphones Plug the cable into the marked socket on the front of the PC using the 3.5 mm stereo jack plug. WARNING! Damage to hearing! 4.7. Connecting audio input/ recording source* This socket is used to connect external analogue audio sources (e.g. stereo system, synthesizer). Plug the connection cable with the 3.5 mm stereo jack plug into the light blue socket on the rear or the PC. 4.8.

Follow the instructions on the screen. Step-by-step instructions will guide you through the process to be followed. The welcome procedure takes you through several screens and dialogues. Select your desired language and then the desired country. Connect to the Internet, if you have access to a respectively configured internet connection.
5.3. Activating antivirus software* Antivirus software is installed on your PC. When the PC is connected to the Internet, the software is registered automatically. The free registration enables you to receive free updates for 30 days. Do not install additional antivirus software, as this can limit the performance of the PC.
7. Keyboard 7.1. The Alt, Alt Gr and Ctrl buttons In addition to the usual letters and characters, the keyboard can also be used to input some special characters and execute certain commands, depending on the program. This special configuration is controlled with the Alt; Alt Gr and Ctrl buttons.

8.2. Hot-swap mobile rack* An additional external hard drive can be connected using a hot-swap SATA mobile rack for 2.5” or 3.5” hard drives. Please bear in mind that only the mobile rack supplied can be used. 8.2.1. Installing a 3.5” hard drive in a 2.5”/3.5” mobile rack The mobile rack is made of plastic and enables the hard drive to be installed without the need for tools.
8.2.2. Installing a 2.5” SSD drive in a 2.5”/3.5” mobile rack When installing an SSD drive, follow the first four steps in the previous instructions and then proceed as follows: The upper side of the hard drive is face up and the contacts are to the bottom right.
9.1.1. In horizontal drive Press the eject button on the optical drive to open the tray. Insert the disc into the tray, label up, so that it lies flat. Press carefully against the drawer until the resistance is overcome and the drawer automatically returns into the optical drive.
9.4. Playing/reading discs Many discs run automatically when they are inserted. This depends on the operating system and the relevant settings. Your PC is capable of playing audio CDs, DVD films or data discs from the optical drive. Once a disc has been loaded, a dialogue box opens containing various playback options.
10. Card reader Your PC features a card reader, you can use the following card types. When inserting the memory cards, ensure that the contacts are pointing in the right direction, as specified in the list below. Inserting a card incorrectly may damage the card reader and/or the card.
11. Sound system The external audio connections can be configured so that you can connect a surround sound system. If encryption is used for the transfer, the same procedure must be used for all devices. Encryption is a procedure to protect the network from unauthorised access. The transfer speed can vary depending on the distance and the number of users accessing the remote station.

13.1.1. Starting system recovery* Start the PC and press F11 during the startup process to initialise PowerRecover. click on the PowerRecover app in the start menu to start the program. You will be offered the following options: • Create driver and tool rescue media Backs up the driver and tools on a storage medium.
13.2. System recovery with Windows recovery options If problems occur with your device, you can refresh or reset it. Refreshing the device reinstalls Windows. Your personal data and settings will be retained. Resetting the device reinstalls Windows. Your files, settings and apps will be deleted, with the exception of the apps pre-installed on the device.

15. Customer services 15.1. Initial help in the event of hardware problems Malfunctions can sometimes have various causes, we have included a brief troubleshooting guide which may help to solve any problems. If these measures don’t solve the problem, we’ll be more than pleased to help you further.
Apps (e.g. the weather app) cannot be displayed as live tiles. Check the date, time zone and time. 15.4. Do you need more help?
