„STEAM" FUNCTION SET-UP
This cooking mode speeds up the boiling of water or soup for steaming food, or for boiling rice.
1. Place the vessel (16) into the pressure cooker (11).
2. Insert a small steamer (not supplied with the appliance), or a basket of heat-resistant material (not supplied with
the appliance).
3. Add water so that the bottom part of the basket is submerged in water (observe the minimum amount of water
marked by the MIN line).
4. Add the food. CAUTION: Do not fill the vessel excessively; observe the maximum amount of food marked by the
MAX line.
5. Place the lid (5) onto the pressure cooker, and turn it counter-clockwise until the safety latch is engaged and a click
is heard. Turn the pressure control valve (1) to the STEAM position.
6. Press the STEAM pushbutton on the control panel (17). The indicator light starts flashing, and the „ 1" symbol shows
on the display. It corresponds to 1 minute's cooking.
7. You can set the cooking time by repeatedly pressing the pushbutton, or holding it pressed down for a longer time.
The longest cooking time you can set is 99 minutes.
8. Press the START/STOP pushbutton. The indicator light stops flashing.
9. If you forget to set the cooking time, or to press the START/STOP pushbutton, the appliance beeps twice, and „ 0.0"
shows on the display after 30 seconds.
CAUTION: You can leave the lid laid loosely atop on the pressure cooker while steaming. When removing the lid, be
aware of the released steam; there is a risk of scalding! Never lean over the pressure cooker exposing your face while
removing the lid!
„SLOW COOK" FUNCTION SET-UP
1. Place the vessel (16) into the pressure cooker (11).
2. Put food into the vessel.
3. Put the lid (5) on the vessel and select STEAM on the control panel (17) and turn the pressure control valve (1) to
the STEAM position.
4. Press the SLOW COOK pushbutton on the control panel (17). The indicator light starts flashing, and the „ 5" symbol
shows on the display. It corresponds to 30 minutes' cooking.
5. You can set the cooking time by repeatedly pressing the pushbutton, or holding it pressed down for a longer time.
The longest cooking time you can set is 9.5 hours at a temperature of 80°C.
6. Press the START/STOP pushbutton. The appliance starts working. The indicator light stops flashing.
7. If you forget to set the required cooking time, or to press the START/STOP pushbutton, the pressure cooker beeps
twice, and the „ 0.0" symbol shows on the display after 30 seconds.
8. The timer starts counting down after c. 30 minutes when the temperature reaches c. 80°C.
9. The appliance will alert you that cooking has finished with a beep.
„DELAY START" FUNCTION SET-UP = DELAYED START
This delayed start function mode allows you to postpone the cooking start time up to 8 hours later (at half-hour
intervals). You can use the starting set-up for cooking as in the SLOW COOK, HIGH and LOW PRESSURE function
modes.
CAUTION: Fast decaying food, such as meat, poultry, fish, cheese, and milk products, must not stay in the pressure
cooker at room temperature for more than 2 hours without cooking.
(No longer than 1 hour if the room temperature is higher than 32°C.)
When preparing this kind of food, do not set the delayed start time for more than 2 hours hence.
1. Press the DELAY TIME pushbutton on the control panel (17).
2. You can set the cooking time by repeatedly pressing the DELAY TIME pushbutton, or holding it pressed down for a
longer time.
