4. When the charged battery pack is needed,
remove the battery pack from the charger.
When the battery charger is not in use, disconnect
the DC power source.
Operational Considerations
Issues to consider when you use the FMW51BC1
battery charger are discussed as follows:
• You can insert up to two battery packs at a time
in the battery charger. When charging two
battery packs, you can insert or remove either
battery pack independently.
• The battery charger only charges one battery
pack at a time. When two battery packs are
inserted in the charger, the battery pack installed
first is charged first.
• The battery charger will indicate a full charge
level and will not begin charging the battery pack
if the battery pack charge level is 90% or higher
when the battery pack is initially inserted in the
charger. This prevents the battery pack from
being overcharged.
• When you remove the battery pack from your
pen tablet, always insert a charged battery pack
in the pen tablet to replace the one that you
removed, or apply DC power.
• The FMW51BP1, FMW29BP1, FMW29BP2, and
FMW43BP2 battery packs use lithium ion battery
cells which have no "memory effect."You do not
need to discharge or "condition" the battery pack
before charging.
Battery Pack Charge Time
The approximate maximum amount of time needed
to charge a fully discharged battery pack to the 90%
level is shown in the following table. Note that when
two battery packs are installed in the charger, they
are charged sequentially (starting with the battery
pack that is installed first).
