INSTALLATION PRECAUTIONS

instruction sheet.

Do not install fixture in any classified location where the marked operating temperature exceeds the ignition
temperature of the hazardous atmospheres. Consult fixture nameplate for suitability in specific hazardous
locations.
•
Do not install fixture in a location where the ambient temperature exceeds the maximum ambient temperature
shown on the fixture nameplate.
•
Refer to fixture nameplate for minimum supply wire temperature rating.
•
Verify that the supply voltage agrees with fixture rating as indicated on nameplate.
•
All local and national electrical/building codes must be followed when installing the lighting fixture. FOR CODE
INTERPRETATION, CONSULT YOUR LOCAL CODE AUTHORITY.
•
Product must be used only with globe intact and fully engaged. Replace cracked or damaged globe prior to use.
WARNINGS
•
Electrical power must be off before and during installation and maintenance.
•
Use only lamp size and wattage as shown on fixture nameplate.
•
Fire and Explosion Hazard: Breakage of glass globe and exposure of lamp to a combustible atmosphere
can result in an explosion and possible injury or death.
•
During installation or maintenance, care should be taken not to scratch, score, nick, or chip the glass globe.
•
Fixture must be grounded as required per paragraph 410-21 and article 250 National Electric Code and/or
rule 30-500 and section 10 of Canadian Electric Code. Failure to properly ground this fixture will create an
electrical shock hazard which can cause serious injury or death.
•
Do not energize the fixture until the globe assembly has been installed to avoid exposing hot surfaces or
electric arcing to hazardous atmosphere. Failure to comply with this warning can cause fire or explosion
which can result in serious injury or death.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION
This unit ships with the selected Voltage, Colors, and Beam Config pre-configured. We
strongly recommend only a licensed electrician install this product.
WARNING: Make sure power is disconnected prior to installing.
This fixture must be mounted to a surface that can structurally support the load.
Four mounting holes are predrilled into the sides of the stack light back plate.
1. Turn off power at electrical panel.
2. Locate surface mounting holes. Raise fixture into place and drive mounting screws
through the predrilled mounting holes.
3. Run cable to power source and wire to correct voltage following all appropriate
procedures for the hazardous area.
NOTE:
Fixture must be grounded. Check ground continuity before energizing the
fixture.
4. See wire labels for connections. Connect line lead to terminal marked
"RED", "YELLOW" or "GREEN". Complete circuit by attaching neutral
marked "NEUTRAL". Attach additional line lead or switch to control
colors independently. Fixture must be grounded.
WARNING: Check product label for voltage!
from improper voltage may void warranty.
5. Visually inspect connections and ensure all proper electrical
procedures for the hazardous area have been followed.
