    Introduction Congratulations on your purchase of the Extech 42280 Thermometer and Relative Humidity Datalogger. The 42280 is a wall-mount, tripod mount, or desktop indoor air quality monitor with an internal memory capable of storing 16,000 readings (8000 temperature readings and 8000 relative humidity readings) that can later be transferred to PC using the USB interface.

    Operation Important Note before starting This meter relies on firm button presses to operate correctly. Be sure to press firmly and hold the button for as long as directed in the instructions. Meter Power 1. The meter is powered by four (4) ‘AA’ 1.5V batteries or the 117V AC adaptor. 2.

    Manual Programming The Model 42280 has several programming modes (P1, P2, P3, P4, P5, and P6). These parameters must be programmed before the Datalogger or the Alarm can be used.     Datalogging Starting a Datalogging session The 42280 can automatically store up to 16,000 readings (8000 temperature and 8000 humidity) for later transfer to PC. Program the controller, as discussed earlier, before Datalogging. If the Datalogger has not been configured at this point, configure as necessary. If programming is complete, continue with the next section.
