  • Page 8 NOTE: Please format the memory card before using the camcorder (Caution, this will erase all data on the card). Do not remove or insert the memory card when recording. It may damage the card or cause data loss. Memory card rating must be Class 10 or above. 2.2 Installing the Battery The included battery should be fully charged before using your camcorder for the first time.

  • Page 12 2.10 Using the Zoom Function This camcorder has a digital zoom function. To operate the zoom function, slide the ZOOM button right to zoom in closer to the subject, and to the left to zoom away from the subject. 2.11 Using the IR Night Vision Mode This camcorder has built-in infrared (IR) LEDs for night vision recording - giving you the ability to capture photos and videos in a dark environment.

    3. Using the Camcorder 3.1 Video Recording Power the camcorder on and it will be ready to record clips right away. You may press the MODE button to switch to another mode. A camcorder icon will appear in the top left hand corner of the screen when you are in Video mode.
  • Page 14 3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to navigate the menu and press the OK button to confirm your selected setting (1080P 30fps, 720P 60fps, 720P 30fps, 480P 60fps). A higher resolution and faster frames per second rate will produce a higher quality and larger video file. 3.1.2 Video Quality The Video Quality function determines the level of compression the camcorder uses when saving videos to a memory card.

  • Page 22 3.3 Setup Menu Basic settings can be changed in the Setup menu. These include date & time, language and sound options. Power the camera on and press the MODE button to switch to setup mode. A menu will display on the screen. 3.3.1 Sounds This function can set the sound volume on your camcorder.

  • Page 26 3.4 Wireless Connectivity 3.5.1 Connecting to the iSmart DV App To wirelessly operate the MN220NV camcorder you will need to install the “iSmart DV” app on your Android or iOS device. The camera can be operated remotely by following the steps below: 1.
  • Page 27 3.5.2 Operating the iSmart DV App Your MN220NV will now be operable via your smartphone. It will initially default to the video recording function. To change from video, press the camera icon in the bottom right hand corner your phone screen.
  • Page 28 3.5.2.2 Taking Photos Remotely 1. To take a photo, press the capture button at the bottom of your smartphone screen. When a photo is taken, the operating indicator light at the back of the camcorder will flash red twice. 2. The photo resolution can be changed on the app. Press the button at the far right of your smartphone screen to bring up the photo resolution sub menu.
  • Page 29 3.5.2.3 Viewing Media on the App To view your photos and videos on the app, press the photo gallery button in the bottom left corner of the screen. All media on the camcorder will load in two sections; photos and videos. Tap the photo or video file you wish to view.
  • Page 30 3.5.2.4 Changing Camcorder Settings on the App Camcorder settings can also be changed on the app. Click the icon in the top right hand corner of the screen to launch the settings menu. From here, a number of settings including white balance and frequency can be changed.
