ers will bring out the best in all your entertainment, delivering even the

To get the most out of your new speakers, please read this manual
thoroughly before you begin installation.

PARTS LIST

Each Sonance Cinema Ultra II LCR Cabinet Speaker includes the following:
• (1) Cinema Ultra II LCR Cabinet speaker
• (1) Cloth grille
• (4) Self-adhesive rubber feet

ORIENTING THE SPEAKER

The Cinema Ultra II LCR Cabinet speaker is shipped with the
midrange/tweeter plate oriented for vertical placement. To place the
speaker horizontally, rotate the plate 90° (See Illustration 1):
1. Using a phillips screwdriver, remove the 8 screws that hold the plate
to the cabinet.
2. Gently pry the midrange/tweeter plate loose from the cabinet.
Make sure that the gasket remains attached to the plate's rear.
3. Rotate the plate 90° and replace it in the cabinet. Make sure that the
gasket seats properly around the cabinet opening.
4. Replace the 8 screws.

ATTACHING THE RUBBER FEET

As shown below in Illustration 2, peel the adhesive backing from the
rubber feet and place them on the bottom of the speaker if you're
mounting it vertically, or on its side if you're mounting the speaker
horizontally. The feet should be placed approximately 1" from the
cabinet edges.

CONNECTING THE SPEAKER

Run the appropriate gauge wire from your amplifier to the speaker loca-
tions. See Wire Gauge for
the suggested wire gauge
of different wire lengths.
Connect the speaker
wires to the terminals on
the backs of the speakers.
(See Illustration 3.)
Make sure that the speak-
er wire polarity is correct:
Speaker '+' to amplifier
'+' and speaker '–' to
amplifier
polarity is particularly
critical to good speaker
performance in home
theater installations.

WIRE GAUGE

Rotate plate
Extra resistance in the speaker wire can make a speaker sound less
dynamic and reduce definition of the bass frequencies. In extreme cases,
it can even attenuate high frequencies. Also, amplifier power is wasted in
wire with extra resistance, reducing your system's maximum output level.
To prevent degrading sound quality, the total wire resistance should be
less than 10% of the speaker's impedance. This means that for 8-ohm
speakers like the Cinema Ultra II LCR Cabinet Speaker, the total
resistance of the wire should be less than 0.8 ohms. Refer to the
following table when selecting the proper wire gauge for your system:
