Service Schedule Definitions -
Overhaul Service
DESCRIPTION
≤ 1 HOUR
Overhaul service would include a com-
plete tear down and inspection of all of the
hoist's components and parts. All of the
parts are inspected according to the man-
ufacturer's standards. If any part is found
to be out of tolerance, damaged or has
exceeded its useful life, it is replaced or
corrected as needed.
1. Overhaul service would include a com-
plete tear down of the hoist.
2. Inspections would be inspected accord-
ing to the manufacturer's standards.
3. Any part out of specification with the
manufacturer's standards would be re-
placed.
4. Thorough cleaning would be performed
while the hoist was completely disassem-
bled.
5. Lubrication specifications would be
followed during the assembly of the hoist
prior to returning to service.
6. After the hoist has been assembled
it will undergo all necessary operational
checks to prove proper operation. This
will take approximately 15-30 minutes for
testing.

ASSUMPTION
1. This service would occur within the
1-month period prior to or 1-month after
the anniversary date of the last overhaul
service date, or on the anniversary date of
the original in service date if required.
2. The hoist has not been abused in any
shape, form or fashion. It has been cor-
rectly installed, used in accordance with
the guidelines of the operator's manual,
daily operator's checks are being per-
formed and general housekeeping mainte-
nance procedures are being adhered to.
3. When necessary for extreme environ-
ments, such as environments that contain
salt-water spray or airborne debris like
sand and paint, hoist covers are used.
4. Certain items are deemed wear items
as they are constantly in contact with a
moving steel wire rope and as such will
wear over time.
Skill Level: Factory Training Required
It is necessary to remove moving me-
chanical parts for this service and it can
be completed in less than one hour by the
factory trained service technician.
