3. MAIN PWB adjustments
3-1. Adjustment of RGB/PC signal level
(1)
For the adjustments specified below, enter a 16-gradation gray scale signal input in the RGB1 input
terminal in the PC mode 5 (PC98 480@60 Program No.05).

Select the RGB1 input by the use of an input changeover switch of the remote control or the CTL
PWB. Connect an oscilloscope to TP-G and confirm that the waveform can be observed as shown
below.

Assume the factory shipment setting mode with the factory shipment adjusting command of the re-
mote control.
(4)
Assume the D-CONTROL PC screen by pressing the PROCEED key.
(5)
Press the cursor key [^] or [v] of the remote control to select [BRIGHT].
(6)
Connect the oscilloscope to TPG3 and adjust the input signal by pressing the cursor key [<] or [>] so
that its gradation of more than 4 continuous scales can stay at the L level as shown in Fig. 3-2.

Press the cursor key [>] and adjust the waveform at TPG3 so that Scale 1 of the input signal can stay
at the L level and Scale 2 can stay at the H level as shown in Fig. 3-3.

Press the cursor key [^] or [v] of the remote control to select [CONT].

METHOD OF ADJUSTMENTS
The numerals in the step-shaped waveform
denote the levels at the respective steps on
the assumption that the all-white level is 255.
