Make adjustments so that
the waveform becomes flat
2-2. Adjustment of VIDEO signal level (adjustment of TA1222, TA1229)
(1)
Select the VIDEO input by the use of an input changeover switch of the remote control or the CTL
PWB.
(2)
Enter an NTSC 100% gray scale signal input (a signal of 8 steps or more) in the VIDEO input terminal.
(3)
Press the PROCEED key of the remote control to select [COLOR SYSTEM] from [MAIN MENU] and
[INFORMATION].
(4)
Confirm that the color system is in the [AUTO] mode.
(5)
Assume the factory shipment setting mode with the factory shipment adjusting command of the re-
mote control.
(6)
Assume the D-CONTROL NTSC screen by pressing the PROCEED key.
(7)
Press the cursor key [^] or [v] of the remote control to select [U-COL].
(8)
At Pin 3 (B OUT) of the MN connector, adjust the video signal section shown in Fig. 2-4 until it attains
1.4Vp-p, by pressing the cursor key [<] or [>].

Enter an input signal of 75% color bar.
(10) Connect an oscilloscope to Pin 3 of the MN connector.
(11) Press the cursor key [^] or [v] to select [COLOR] or [TINT].
(12) Press the cursor key [<] or [>] so that the waveform appearing at the oscilloscope is adjusted as shown
in Fig. 2-5 (the blue level at 0.95Vp-p).
