Th e two wires goin g to the analog input jack can be shorted together.
(2)
Th e phone plug ca n be pu lled out of

he analog inpu t jack and the rear p a ne l CA L sw itc h
moved to the "0" positio n.
(3)
Th e device co nn ected to the analog inpu t jack can have its outpu t go to zero ; for examp le,
if an electronic pr essure transdu ce r is in use, z ero pressure coul d be appli ed to its input. This met hod would a lso
take care of any

ero offset app ea ring on the

r essur e transducer outpu t or any offset result ing from thε 59313 Α

Th ere are three ways to adjust ga in . Th e first uses α p reci s i o n voltage so urce co nnected to the
anal og input jac k . Th is coul d be α vo ltage standard where the dials are simply set to the desi red vo l tage or co uld

ower supply with α good digital vo ltmeter connected to it to

onitor the vo ltage . Si mp ly set the
so urce to the desi red full scale vo ltage and, using α small screwdriver, turn the ch a nn el's

ron t pa n el GA IN co ntrol
for the channel un de r adj u stment until the co ntroller displ ays the desired full scale number.

is obtained with α fu ll scale of 1023, 1022

ay be more suita ble because it is possible to te ll if £υ 11 scale is
exceeded, and 1000 as α full scale may be more co n ve ni ent to thin k about, and also permi ts α slig h t over r ange
capability .

Α seco nd way to adjust ga in uses the dev ice co nn ected to the chann el as the ca li bratio n so urce. If,
for instance, α pr essure transdu ce r is in use, α manometer and pr essure source could be connected to the
tran sd u ce r a n d α fu ll scale press ure applied . Th e fro nt panel GA IN co ntrol is the n adj usted un til the co n troll er
displ ays th e full scale value previously se lected .
