Replace all screws and ensure that no stray screws remain inside your computer. Connect any external devices, peripherals, or cables you removed before working on your computer.

Procedure Loosen the three captive screws on the base cover.

    Disconnect the battery cable from the system board. Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to ground the computer and drain the flea power. For computers shipped without optical drive Loosen the three captive screws on the base cover. Remove the screw (M2x4) that secures the base cover to the palm rest and keyboard assembly.
