INSTALLATION OF MOUNTING ASSEMBLY
NOTE:
Pay close attention how the parts come assembled, as they have been
correctly assembled by the factory (see Fig. 5).
This food waste disposer has been designed to operate on 220-240 V AC,
50/60 Hz, 2.7A and 560W.
- Disassemble the mounting assembly from the disposer by turning
the bottom supporting ring clockwise and removing it .
- Loosen the 3 screws about half way from the top supporting ring
(Fig.5a), then use a screw driver to remove the flange ring (Fig.5b)
- If you use putty instead of the gasket, form a ring around the
underside of the sink flange (see Fig. 6). Insert the flange into the
sink opening, press down hard to squeeze out the excess putty .
From under the sink, trim off the excess putty to be flush with the
bottom edge of the sink opening. Do not rotate the flange once it
is seated .
- Place the sink flange through the waste hole in the sink (through
the gasket first if you are using the gasket), see Fig. 7. Remove
the excess putty (if any) .
- Insert the supporting plate and the top supporting ring . Hold them
in place while inserting the flange ring. Pull the flange ring open
and press firmly until it snaps into place (Fig.8a).
- Tighten the 3 screws sequentially until the flange is very securely
attached to the sink .
