Disassemble the LCD module
The LCD module as a whole is not a FRU. Instead, it contains FRUs as its components. Before
disassembling the LCD module, make sure it has been detached from the upper case.
There are two different types of LCD module for Lenovo IdeaPad S540-15IWL: the Glass LCD module and
the Bezel LCD module. Some disassembling steps differ between the two modules.
Remove the LCD cable and LCD panel
Make sure the following FRUs (or CRUs) have been removed.
"Remove the lower case" on page 33
"Remove the battery pack" on page 34
"Remove the Wi-Fi card" on page 42
"Remove the LCD module" on page 48
Step 1.
Press the two sides of the hinge cover to disengage the hooks inside it, and then remove the hinge
cover.
