Troubleshooting

Check the following points before sending this product for repair.
The following phenomena are not malfunctions.
If there is no abnormality on the screen when the phenomena below appear, they are not malfunctions.
● The top or front part as well as the rear of the projector unit is hot
● A creaking sound is heard from the projector
● Device noise is heard from the interior of the projector
● There is color bleeding on the screen
When the projector fails to run properly due to external noises, perform the following operations.
A
Check to ensure that the power is shut down. Unplug the power cord, and insert again.
B
Turn on the power of the projector.
A sound maybe heard when the lamp burn out. However, this is not a hazard.
D-ILA devices are manufactured using extremely high-precision technology. However, some of the
pixels may not lit up or remain permanently lit up.
Symptom
● Is the power cord disconnected?
Power is not
supplied
● Is the main power supply switched
turned on?
● Is the lamp in the cool down mode?
● Is the lamp protection function
triggered?
(This function is triggered when the
power shuts down such as during
power failures.)
● Is the lamp near exhaustion?
Image is dark
● Are the air inlets and vent holes
Projector works
blocked?
when the power
is turned on, but
stops abruptly
● Is the temperature of the room high?
after a few
minutes
● Are the filters dirty?
● Is the lens cap removed?
Video image
does not appear
● Are devices properly connected?
● Is the power of the connected
devices turned on?
● Are correct signals being output
from the connected devices?
● Are the signals of the connected
devices possible input signals?
● Is the image temporarily hidden?
Probable Cause
Corrective Action
● Insert the power cord (plug) properly.
● Turn on the main power supply switch
of the projector unit.
● Turn on the power again after the cool
down mode ends.
● Wait till the temperature of the lamp
has gone down. (Turn on the main
power supply switch to run the fan and
cool down the lamp.) Turn on the
power after about 180 seconds.
● Check the ALamp InformationB setting
of the Main menu. When the lamp life
is near its end, please consult your
authorized dealer.
● Turn off the main power supply switch,
and remove the blockage. After
removing, turn on the power again.
● Set the temperature of the room or the
surrounding temperature of this
projector to an appropriate level.
● Clean the filters.
● Remove the lens cap.
● Connect the devices correctly.
● Turn on the power of the connected
devices.
● Configure the connected devices
correctly.
● Check to ensure that they are possible
input signals, and input compatible
signals accordingly.
● Set AHideB of the Main menu or Image
menu to AOFFB to display the image.
