Troubleshooting

Problem
Tines do not engage
Tines skip over ground
Wheels do not engage

Cause
1. Foreign object lodged in tines
2. Tine clevis pin(s) missing
3. Pulley and idler not in correct adjustment
4. Not shifting properly
5. Control cable not adjusted properly
6. Belt worn and/or stretched
1. Improper rotation
1. Clevis pin missing
2. Tiller is not being shifted properly
3. Control cable not adjusted properly
4. Belt worn and/or stretched
Remedy
1. Dislodge foreign object
2. Replace tine clevis pin(s)
3. Take tiller to authorized service dealer
4. Refer to the Controls & Features Section for
proper shifting procedures
5. Adjust control cable
6. Replace belt
1. Forward rotation should only be used on soil
that has already been tilled, not on virgin soil
1. Replace clevis pin
2. Refer to Controls & Features Section for
proper shifting procedures
3. Adjust control cable
4. Replace belt
