    Gloves also reduce the transmission of ma- chine vibration to your hands. Hearing Protection -- ECHO recommends wearing hearing protection whenever unit is used. Proper Clothing -- Wear snug fitting, durable protective clothing; chain saw safety pants or chaps are recommended.

Look for hazards that could contrib- ute to unsafe conditions. DO NOT operate unit if any wires (power, telephone, cable, etc.) are closer than 15 m to any part of the operator or unit.

    ECHO Service Dealer for maintenance. To help you decide whether you want to DO-IT-YOUR- SELF or have the ECHO Dealer do it, each maintenance task has been graded. If the task is not listed, ask your ECHO Service Dealer for repairs.

This prevents dirt from entering the carburettor throat when the air filter is removed. Brush accumu- lated dirt from the air cleaner area.

    The cylinder exhaust port must be inspected and cleaned of excess carbon every 3 months or 90 hours of operation in order to maintain this engine within the emissions durability period. ECHO strongly recommends that you return your unit to your ECHO dealer for this important maintenance service.

    (ASL) (96.0 kPa). To maintain proper engine operation and emis- sion compliance above 1,100 feet ASL the carburetor may need to be adjusted by an authorized ECHO service dealer. ImPoRTANT If the engine is adjusted for operation above 1,100 feet ASL, the carburetor must be re-adjusted when operating the engine below 1,100 feet ASL, otherwise severe engine damage may result.

This saw chain is VERY sharp, wear heavy gloves to protect your hands when handling it. Wear eye protection meeting CE or ANSI Z 87.1 specification.
