Preparation for operation

WARNING
Explosion hazard!
The use of accessories that are not approved for use in explosion-hazard areas
may lead to the ignition of gas-charged atmospheres.
► Only use accessories that have been approved by Dräger for use in
explosion-hazard areas. Further information available on the product page

Prior to commissioning, insert the batteries outside of the explosion-hazard area
(Graphic A/13) and attach the carrying strap (see Graphic A/14). Mount the
approved components for probe measurement.
4.2.1
Insert the batteries
1. Unscrew four torx screws on the battery cover (Graphic A/9) on the rear of
the device using the included tool.
2. Insert the batteries included in the scope of delivery (Graphic A/13). Pay
attention to polarity.
3. Close the battery cover again using the included tool. Make sure the battery
cover has been sealed shut.
4.2.2
Attach the carrying strap
1. Attach the carrying strap included to the eye on the rear of the device
(Graphic A/14). Make sure the press studs are on the inside. This prevents
the carrying strap from opening unintentionally.

During operation

4.3.1
Preparing the measurement
The preparations for operation must be fulfilled before performing a
measurement. For further information see: "Preparation for operation", page 19.
4.3.2
Carry out measurement
1. Turn on the device (Graphic D/3)
● Press and hold OK for 3 seconds until the countdown has run out on the
display.
 The self-test takes place. As soon as this has been successfully
completed, the Insert Dräger MicroTubes icon appears on the display.
2. Insert Dräger MicroTubes (Graphic D/3a)
To do this, place the Dräger MicroTubes in the retainer, as indicated by the
arrow, with the label facing upwards and gently push into place.
