Cause
Discharged battery
Disconnected, loose, or corroded battery
terminals
Lowered pilot control shut-off lever.
Disconnected, loose, or corroded starter
ground line terminals.
Faulty pilot control shut-off lever electrical
system
Too high engine oil viscosity
Faulty starter and/or electrical system
No fuel
Air in the fuel system
Clogged fuel filter
Frozen fuel
Faulty injection pump
Faulty engine control system
The emergency engine stop SW is ON.
Faulty preheat system
Too low idle speed
Clogged fuel filter
Clogged pre-fuel filter
Faulty engine control system
Clogged air cleaner
Faulty injection pump
Faulty fuel system
Water or air in the fuel system

Solution
Charge or replace battery.
After repairing the corroded
area, securely tighten the con-
nectors.
Pull pilot control shut-off lever
up.
