Steak pans made of cast iron or other alloys are not suitable for cooking on the
ceran hob because the large thickness of the pan base can lead to dangerous heat
concentrations in the cooking field. The rough pan base can also scratch the surface
and the alloy can cause non-removable stains on the ceran hob.
The rubbing of the cooking pot bottom on the glass ceramic plate can damage the
screen printing over time. This is not a manufacturing shortage but normal wear and
tear.
Alternatively, it is possible to use a flat steak pan made of stainless steel with a triple bottom, which is as
flat as possible, so that it rests against the surface and ensures even cooking.
Clean and dry the bottom of the cooking pots well before placing the pots on the
hob. A rough bottom of the cooking pots or pans can leave traces or grooves when
it will pushed over the cooking field.
